uh.. you really don't want to know. think they came out to be $120-ish. :squint: but i guess i couldn't stay true to my preachings if i didn't have it all genuine. btw, you're very welcome on the referral. glad he came through for you. i assume you're 110% satisfied with the results?

I know of a few people that have gotten e-codes for 6th gens with the correct flare from here http://www.bnewton-honda.com/ it was a year ago but at the time I spoke with Bill there and was quoted "£210-02 sterling including FedEx carriage. Stock is available." which I think is $340ish for the pair shipped fedex.

more like 200% satisfied with the results. I took the car to mexico a few weeks ago. Driving through those desert roads...it was definitely the difference between night and day. I even had a basis for comparison. I took the car down there the year before..with the stock lights. Even in the blackest of night I couldn't see much. My buddy here has a 4th gen..he's gonna look into getting some for himself, now that he's seen mine.

Like Planecrazy I want something inexpensive and better then stock (which is OK for me but I know it wouldn't take much to improve). Here's what I came up with, PIAA Xtreme white 9006 replacement bulbs, and PIAA 004X Driving lights. I think if they are pointed in the right direction they won't blind people. I haven't seen these together yet and wanted to know what people thought. I'm not looking for the best of the best or conversion kits. I like PIAA for their warranty. I was also looking at Silverstars, but they don't give a warranty with their bulbs and my last pair of Sylvanias burnt out in three months (and I was careful not to do those bad-for-bulb things.) so I have lost a little trust in them. Anyway PIAA has 1year warranty on bulbs and lifetime for their other stuff (for original purchase) and why not have a matching set. I've seen the Bulbs for $58 and the Driving Lamps for $100.

Nice site USC I learned a lot thanks for sharing.

There's a postscript to this story. The other night I was cleaning the usual winter crap off the headlights and noticed the driver's side bulb had gone black. Deep black. I turned them on and checked and it lit up. I checked the other side and it was black too but still operational. About a year ago I had put in Philips extra output (normal wattage) bulbs. The bulbs must have blackened gradually, as it took me a while to figure out something was wrong.

I still had the OEM bulbs as spares and I put them back in. The lighting is about 1000% better already, even stock I can see great on the high beams now. I hadn't noticed earlier as the usual way for me to check if my lights are OK are to switch them on and look; a couple of times I did this thinking I might have had a blown bulb but both lit. The glass had just gone opaque for some odd reason. I dunno if this is a factory defect. In any case I can see "normal" now, as good as my wife's Odyssey.

Weird...
