95 accord v6 randomly wont start

hey HAN members, i hope you all can chime in on this. Well my first car happens to be the 95 accord exv6 and its a good car. anyways, when i bought the car from a family friend, there was nothing wrong with it besides the Tach hopping around from 0 - 3k randomly, funny thing is there was so hesitation in the motor or misfires. I decided i would replace the plugs, rotor, cap (all oem parts) and that issue went away. A year later( now) that issue has resurfaced, but on the most randomest days, the car will not start-has happened three times now. the car will crank and crank but not turn over. sometimes i will retry within the hour and it starts up fine; other times, it wont start until 2 days later. I ruled out that weather isnt an issue, also I know a fair amout of mechanical work- have checked main relay, the fuel pump(it works) but good thing is it has only not started on the day i leave it at home since i got other cars to ride in. so what should i check next? spark? i was planning just to replace the whole distrib but im a HS student and money is tight. so please advise what to do thanks,

appreciate the help in advance

should i jsut buy a new main relay or reflow it with solder. im good witht he soldering gun buy if it doesnt cost much then might as well.

The typical problem is cracked/cold solder joints, so that's a good idea and is how I've fixed them in the past - just heat the joints enough to flow the solder well. If that doesn't fix the problem I would look at your coil and ignitor units.

Im not sure what the cost of a m. relay is but its affordable I would buy one.

Main relay is around $50-60 OEM if I'm looking at the right part - 39400-SV4-003

okay loosk like the main relay is fine. pulled it out and placed it under a scope to se if any cracks occured - none , so i reflowed the solder joints anyways. i guess to test he coil and ignitor?

Yup.

i got the chiltons book to test the coil and the ignitor. I havent got a chance since im busy with school. I want to get this car up and running asap as i sometimes use it (high school student). well do you happen to know anything about the injector resistor pack? i checked the resistance on the injector pack at the strut. They say the allowed resistance is 6-8ohms, i got a reading on 12ohms but it was like that before i had this issue. How often does the coil and ignitor go bad? can i just replace the whole distributor assembly?
