Default Exhaust piping quote

Man, I went to a local muffler shop, they are smoking some good stuff. They want $150 for crush bent 2.25" alumized piping, $65 to install the hayame muffler they want $275 for. And, they want $400 for a DC Sports Ceramic header 4-2-1. Needless to say, I won't be getting shyt from them. And to all in Sacramento area, don't go to Brownie mufflers on Marconi Ave. off of Business 80:thumbdown

No, I haven't gotten the muffler yet. Nah man, you gotta weld some hangers onto the universal muffler to get it to work. What im doing is getting bigger piping(2 1/4") from the catalytic converter back(hence, catback ). If I can't find a place to mandrel bend some piping for me, think I'd be safe going
w/ 2 1/2" crush bent piping? If not, I'm gonna just get a Thermal Research and Development Catback and bolt it on myself:thumbup:

how much do you think would cost me to install the muffler. My friend said that most shop would weld it on for like 50-60. is that right?

1) 2 1/2" crush bent is more restrictive than 2 1/4 mandrel...
2) $60 to install a muffler is way too much....
3) no point in just getting a muffler... waste of money...

I can't imagine the difference in flow being that noticeable.

$60 to install a muffler is the avg. price around here, a universal muffler that is, one where they have to weld on hangers and stuff.

The point in getting just a muffler is looks and sound, some people aren't looking to get more hp out of their car, just want it to look and sound better.
