When draining the oil from the oil pan...
...do you pull out the rubber plug or do you unscrew the bolt (23mm)?
I usually unscrew the bolt. But I thought I read where somebody replaces the rubber plug on every oil change. Just wondering.

well you are supposed to replace the washer each time because it's a "crush" washer, makes a seal so you don't leak.
BUT...mine won't come off! Anyone else have this problem...can't get the washer off the bolt?

what rubber piece are you talking about? I change the washer with every oil change, they are like .10 at the dealer, I bought about 20 of them, so I'm good to go for a while.

im not good with tool names, i want to call it a wire cutter...... anyways, take that an press hard and go around in a circle, it will make the washer stretch out and then you should be able to get it off......
