Default Problems with Cheap Xenons in Projectors?!

Ok I have a pair of thoes 3 beam Halo projectors that are all clear and whatnot... I'm sure you have seen them. Anyways... I keep buying the Showoff, etc. eBay 25$ Xenons for them and they keep going out. The bulb size is H3. Ok I use Xenons all the time and have used them for ALL of my friends and they have no problems whatsoever for any size... whether it be the standard 9006 or even H3 for their fog lights... could it be that my headlight harness wires send too much power to them as opposed to the amount of power that is run to fog lights when they are hooked up through the battery? I'm 99% sure it's not the bulbs.

I guess there is a very small chance that water could get on the bulb, but not really... I wish I could go back in time and not buy these or those damn altezzas...

Anyways any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
-John

Sadly it is your projectors

Projectors are made extrememly cheap and are not meant for driving the way the release heat of the bulb is horrible, I had projectors and I was running through bulbs like you.

Others will say they have no problems, but in reality its just the set you got along with others, they are designed horribly for street use and each projector is different than the next.

I would suggest finding a set of OEM headlights and replacing them so you don't blow bulbs all the time like you are now cause its a money pit

I still have my OEM lights... but I broke one of the mount things when taking them off. It was one of the things that the actual housings are attached to for adjustment purpoes, I am thinking about going back to how they were... Or just never using my headlights and buying some fog lights... then using my brights when I REALLY need some light. The ONLY thing I'm worried about is cops.

Don't do that, buy another set of OEM lights, it's not worth getting tickets over.

you could retrofit the low beam projector with some audi projectors or hella 90mm projectors and they will work great then, hell any OEM projector that would fit would rock.

take a look in the gallery here

took regular aftermarket junk projectors, and made them great, these are with ECE HID projectors

another one with DOT HID projectors

He'll even do halogen DOT conversion if you want, and they will work great. Optics is everything, and something aftermarket projectors don't have.
