According to neuspeed web site the front strut bar for 98+ Accord is 1" diameter. I measure (with a dial caliper) the TL-S strut bar and it is also 1" in diameter. Both are tube and not solid. Size of the bar doesn't mean anything. It is the combination of the size, material, and manufacturing process that will determine the strength of the bar.

I don't think Accura put the bar on the TL-S for looks. You can't go wrong when it is less than half the price.

Ok, why don't you take off your Neuspeed front strut bar then, it's dead weight right?

According to your signature, you don't practice what you preach.

That is not what you said in your first post.

So which is it? Its help or for looks?
I think you should do more research and stop contradicting yourself.

Dude, strut bars dont really make a difference on any street cars. As far as the neuspeed goes, it doesnt atach to the firewall, but you leave the stock strut bar on. Strut bars are mostly for looks. I got my nuespeed for $50, from a freind who got the comptech. If I was going to pay regular price, teh neuspeed is not worth the money, although I can get a new neuspped for around 85 shipped. If you really want a strut bar that "makes a difference" and looks nice as hell get teh comptech, if you got anextra 250 to spend.

00accordv6, can you tell me technically why the comptech makes a difference and other brands don't. I'm not trying to be a smartass but really wants to know.

geez, didn't think a post about a strut bar was going to cause this much chaos. Point is, they don't do much, but obviously acura put a different bar on the TL-S for a reason, they didn't do it for looks. Granted, the gain is minimal at best, but for $50 you really can't go wrong.

Well, the design of the comptech bar is much better than any other bars out there. You have to see it for yourself. I dont know what else is diff, but if youve driven an accord with the comptech bar, and another bar, youll notice a difference. It is not too major, but definetly better than other bars.
