Default car stall problem (kinda long)

okay...so i got injured about a month ago from snowboarding (kinda long story also) and haven't been able to drive my car: 90' Accord Lx 5 speed (I/E)

so i get back into my car and try to start it and it's dead. went to the auto shop bought a battery and pop it in and car works okay on the way to church (like 10 minutes away). after church i get back in the car...and on the way home...i run into some problems.

1. i was kinda low on fuel

2. in gear...when i press on the throttle alittle hard...the car kinda boggs down. thought this was weird but thought maybe the clutch is slippin or something.

3. after a stop or when the gear isnt' engaged the odometer goes down and almost hits 0 and comes back to alittle under 1k then it starts jumping all over the place between 1k and 0.

4. light turns green...i pull out normally and the car just about stalls. i press the clutch all the way down and try again and it again about to stall. so i rev to about 4k and then slowly let go of the clutch and it starts going okay. Shift to 2nd normally and again it's about to stall.

so the only way for me to drive is to rev high and let go of the clutch slowly.

5. i pulled into a gas station to fill up and after doing so...i get back into that car and it won't turn over. i hear the starter and it sounds like it's gonna start but it just doesn't. maybe there's no spark or soemthing.

6. i had it towed to my house. get up the next morning, turn on the engine and boom it starts again. sounds okay...but decided to take the other car to school.

7. next day i clean the air filter, reset my ecu and start the engine...not a very clean start but the engine is running. let it sit for 5 minutes...turn it off then start again and i drive it off to school. about 3 minutes of driving and the car starts doing it what it did again. i was just at a stop light and the car like stalled. tried to turn it back on and it was like in the verge of starting and about to die. i dont' know how to explain it but it was like choking.

what do you think the problem is?? maybe the fuel pump or a fuel filter (if there is one). the engine seems to be fine but something is definitly wrong.

anyways...sorry for the long post...but please reply....thanks

Once my 99 had the hiccuping problem at low rpm. It usually idles at 650, but it was dropping to 300 and hopping back up over 650. This was after a drain on the battery (I had the stereo playing for a while, fairly loud with the car off), and a drive with the stereo on. After parking the car and getting ready to turn it off, it did the hiccuping. I only experienced this once. By the time I got home I put the battery on the charger and it was showing a good level. The alternator must have got it up to normal, hopefully it wasn't too low. I have an automatic so the problem wasn't the clutch, etc.

So if my story's an indication, I would point my finger to the battery, alternator or something in the electrical department.
