Fill me in
Ok...I was at a import hang out the other day...And some guy comes up to me and says he has a Prelude engine in his accord. I Say H22 Or H23? He respondes and says its a F22, SOHC engine. I start to think B/S. Then he says he's getting a H22 Type-S which produces 250 HP. Which I know is B/S. So I say cool and leave a lil angry since people try to talk b/s to me since im pretty young. But all in all, is there such thing as a F22 Prelude engine? I've never heard of one, And I dont see why you would Trade a F22 for F22. Thanks..

Here is the breakup:
S - f22 SOHC engine (130hp or so)
Si - h23 DOHC engine (160hp)
4WS - h23 DOHC engine (has the same engine as the Si, but also 4WS technology, this was 92-93 for 4th Gens I believe)
SE - h23 DOHC (this one is basically a Si with some extras but not a vtec... only available in 95...i think)
VTEC - h22 DOHC (190hp, top of the line)

The 92-96 Prelude Si had the F22 DOHC non-VTEC engine, which had 160HP and 148 lb/ft. The 92-96 Prelude S had the F22 SOHC non-VTEC, which had 135hp and 142 lb/ft.
But why the hell would he put the S engine in his Accord? It wouldn't give him any performance gains. Maybe his previous engine died?
