dont u mean 'Yokohama" instead of "yahmaha"?

but...i bought my yokohama parada's in june and put aboiut 8k on the car since then. But they were on another accord for about 60,000 miles. So it looks like they lasted 70k miles. Thats alot for a tire. Yokohama's are really good tires!

Dave

btw...i just got a set of Wanli 1099's....i was told they are just as good as yokohama but cheaper. We'll see though. Got them for $126 a tire. They look really good though! Very similar to the AVS Sport made my Yokohama which is the best Yokohama tire on the market.

Yamhama

Get new tires when they wear out...it's not brain surgery. I use Maximum Performance tires, so mine only last 2 summers...or like 25-30,000 miles. But I refuse to vote nonetheless.

Bottom line - it all depends on the tire and your driving habits. I could probably burn my tires up in 10k or buy really hard tires and make them last 70k. There is no golden standard at all.

Its too vague to say when to change it because there are too many factors. When in doubt use a penny to check the threads and rotate every 6 months.

my stock michelins (205/60-16) died before 23k. V-rated(?)...so about 23k miles. $450 a set

my yokohama a520's (225/55-16) died before 34k. Z or V-rated(?)... so about 11k miles. $400 a set

my nankang sport tires (225/40-18) are at 44k and holding on very strong. treadwear: 340. H-rated... so about 10k miles and 1/2 life left. $300 a set

who woulda known a korean-brand tire would work so darn well? too bad i'm not SUPPOSED to go over 130 with these.

I have never gotten more than 15,000 miles from any set of tires. I ihave used Pirelli P700Z, (those things are SOFT!) Dunlop SP Sport W-10, (sidewalls sucked..) 2 or 3 sets of Kumho 712s, (not too bad a tire for hondas / acuras, forget about it if you car has any power...) and now have a set of Kumho 711s on there. Thankfully my wife drives the integra now so I'm sure they will last much longer. I just went through a set of Yokohama AVS ES100s on my GS-T, and I only got them in late september. Those tires are awesome, but they didn't last long..

u put it in the thread, if u see lincoln's head, you should look to get new tires soon.

I plan to get new tires either when they wear down, or they get damaged w/ a nail or something.

you cannot ask for a set number because diff tires and diff driving habits will lead to diff tire wear speeds.
