Hey everyone, This is my first post here but hopefully some of you can answer this question for me. I am about to purchase a 5spd 96 Accord EX. When I test drove the car I noticed that the clutch was very effortless to engage like it took no pressure to push it to the floor. It shifted very smoothly and the clutch seem to engage I am guessing about the at the halfway point to the floor. Is that the way the clutches are on these cars or could it possibly be a problem later on? Thanks

 

well I have a 92 accord that does the same thing. When my clutch was new it grabbed at the floor but as it gets older it starts to grab further and further from the floor. so basically it could be a worn out clutch.

Thanks for the info, but should the clutch be that effortless? I guess that is really what I wanted to know if that is normal.
