ignition recall and alarm?!

I took my car in to get the ignition replaced under the warranty. I have an aftermarket alarm and sound system. The guy said it would cost 50-100 to put back the alarm. Is this how much it costs for the people that got it replaced? I told him that this should be free, but he said that Honda will not reconnect the wires free...

Does this affect my sound system too?

 

since its an after market system they will charge u. Just have the ignition done for free and take it to sound shop to redo the wiring.

You can go to an alarm shop to get it connected back...but still it would cost money. It's just the wires from the alarm that is connected to your ignition that is disconnected.

 

My dealership wanted $35 minimum to reconnect the alarm. My stereo shop wanted $10 and it took him less than 15min to reconnect he said they didnt even cut anything just unplugged all the wires.

 

The dealer fixed my Ignition System for free....but they also had to restart my Starter cuz it was faulty. They charged me around 550 bucks for just the starter! They didn't f*ck around with my aftermarket alarm though...:dunno:
