Default prelude intake into accord??

hi. does anyone know if the aem cai for the prelude will fit into the accords? i was looking at the pictures and they look pretty similiar. the prelude cai has 3 inch piping while we only have like 2.5 inches. if the h22 can be droped into it, why cant the cai as well? i have a 94 (5th gen) so if anyone knows what model years prelude intakes will fit my car, let me know. thanks!

I have a 97+ lude AEM CAI in my Accord, of course I have an H22 to go with it. The 92-96 will fit also, but it's 2.75inch. If you put this on a F22 it will fit over the Throttle body.

I know for a fact that the CAI of a 97+ lude fits any 4th gen accord f22 I dunno about the 5th gen thought.

Nope, but I don't think it would work.

What? Why would you want to choke the H22? That babys gotta breathe!

So, if I wanted to ditch the CC (which i am very fond of actually), would a 'Lude throttle body up my accord's output at all? Or would it just burn more gas than it's worth?

yes, the lude TB is a very worthwhile mod IF you port match it to your IM AND get a 3" intake. I have heard people that have done this say 5-7whp. You will also see better gains from this mod if you have header and exhaust.

Ok, so TB from a 97+ prelude on an F22b2, plus 97 lude CAI? Yes? no? If I had the 92=96 prelude TB, I could just use the accord intakeI have, right? (isn't it 2.5"?)

very interested in this all of asudden...
