02 V6 Coupe - Replacement shocks/struts?
Got the tires installed. Rides like a different car! Much smoother and less rattling ride. Amazing how tires change the way a car feels on the road. These Generals are quiet!
Glad I didn't buy new shocks for no reason!

Tires go a long way. The right set makes or breaks your car's capabilities.
But for future reference, if you think your shocks are shot then just test em by pushing straight down on a corner of the car to see the dampening itself. If it goes back to level with little to no bounces, then your shocks are fine. IF you replace them and to list some aftermarket options, a few are KYB GR2 shocks (considered "OEM replacements" to most ppl) or Tokico HP (Blue set).

Another update. The new tires improved things a bit, but I think I still need shocks - mechanic be damned! I still hit small bumps in the road and get jarring "bang" feelings that should be much more damped. I drove my 2000 911 to work this morning, and it soaked up bumps that would crush me in the Honda! Pretty silly, considering the Porsche has an ultra stiff suspension and is considered "harsh" riding on the streets!
I'll probably go for the KYB GR2 - Tirerack has them at a good price! Thanks for the recommentation.
