Default My 5th gen tails

Aight guys.....over the summer when I first got my ride I picked up a pair of these tails:

Now I liked the tails when I got 'em, and still like the style, but I just don't like the interior chrome part....looks to cheesy....plus mad heads have them on campus. So over T-giving break I took out the amber lenses on the stockies. One came out great, but the other has way too many shavings in-between the lense and the outer casing. Either way my point is I want to modify the S-types, cause droppin $$ on them and keeping them for a few months is lame.

I'm wondering what you guys think would look sweet....the first idea I had was to tint/blackout the whole tail except for the two red circles. But now I want to add like a long slit across the reverse section of the taillight, or something like that. Is there some sort of spay tint that would do the job? Or should I just stencil out the pattern and paint it? What about the tint film from AutoZone, would that stay on the light?

Any opinions you guys have about ideas/products/techniques are welcome.

just crack the lens off the ones u got, and spray a couple coats of candy apple red paint made by testors, you can get it at any hobby shop. It's a transparent paint, but with enough coats, it'll cover nicely. this is how people do red/clears using all clear tails. thats my opinion, make em red/clear.

Paint the chrome part to match the color of the car. I bet you can get a can of touch up paint at a dealership or something.

Put the stock ones back on temporarily, sell the altezzas you have on ebay, then get new ones.
