Comparing 0-60 times is really very asinine because conditions vary so much, and noone races to 60MPH. It has a lot to do with gearing. GS-R's are faster than the 6gen AV6 with a decent driver, but with a piss poor driver the AV6 might stand a chance.

exactly. and to prove his point:
Car-Stats.com Report for 2003 Honda S2000

0-60: 6.3 Transmission: Manual
1/4 Mile: 14.9
1/4 Speed: 95

----------------
Car-Stats.com Report for 2000 Honda S2000
Obtained from MT February, 2000
0-60: 5.2 Transmission: Manual
1/4 Mile: 13.8
1/4 Speed: 100

and of course we know that honda didnt make the s2000 slower in '03 then in '00. 98CoupeV6 knows what hes saying.

Damn right I know what I'm sayin.

C&D also clocked the TL Type-S at 8.2 seconds 0-60 and 16.0 1/4 mile...they're me favorite mag, but that is inexcusable. TL-S has been clocked from 6.4-8.2.

The S2000 is a special case, since it is so hard to launch it and drive it fast with its narrow powerband and no torque. 0-60 and 1/4 mile times vary GREATLY on the driver in that case. But not on the TL-S.
