Default Radio security code

This may be something you guys already know but I wanted to post it anyway in case it might help someone out sometime. I had to disconnect the battery cables on a friend's '01 Accord EX last weekend and didn't realize the radio had the security code function enabled. Anyway the radio locked up. I found a white sticker on the underside of the little slide-out coin holder pocket on the left side of the dash. The 5 digit number sequence on the sticker is the radio security code.

I had this idea from remembering how some older Acura's had the code on a sticker on the underside of the ash tray. That was back when cars had ash trays and lighters.

This may be old news to many here but maybe it will help someone in the future.

I would take that card and keep it in a safe place inside the house not that a OEM Honda radio will be a target for thieves.
