Ok well this doesnt happen all the time but sometimes when im in a gear and step on the gas the rpms go up crazy and the car barely moves. I do need to replace the valve cover gasket because its leaking oil into the top of the 3rd cylinder spark plug...anyone have any ideas what the problem is or does that valve cover gasket is what causing the problem?

 

sounds like a transmission prob. possibly the clutch is slipping. now what is your definition of "steping on the gas"?

 

i finally got it. the clutch was slipping, i put a stage 1 excedy clutch
