Default 90 LX wheel problems?

Hey,

I have a friend that owns a 1990 Accord LX 5-speed, and she just recently ran into a problem...after getting her axle replaced (don't know why), she noticed that if you take the car up past 55, you can feel and hear a ticking noise...as she goes faster, it feels like she has a flat tire, and there's severe vibration. She had her breaks done recently too, so that can't be the problem. I've talked to a bunch of people and they said it could be a couple things:

1. One of the front wheels was put on crooked
2. One or more of the tires is not balanced
3. Her alignment is off (but it still steers straight )
4. One of her front struts or shocks is blown

She says it feels like there's something loose in the front and the car just feels like something is going to fall off. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help...

check all the lugs to make sure they're tight, otherwise sort of sounds like unbalanced tire

Lugs or the SVC joint gone bad, mines started leakin and hasnt frozen up and messed up the axil yet.. but ya, SVC joint would make the car shake at high speeds

Looks like the problem is not related to the suspension at all now...update has it, my friend was driving back home from work and the car started to have the same issues. This is after the axle being replaced recently, and the shocks/struts. Apparently the car started having the issue at 40mph, then 30mph, and then it felt according to my friend "like the car was going to sieze up...it was shaking and everything."

So if just about everything on the suspension was replced, I started to think about the engine. I gave it a rev from the engine bay and I heard a small knock coming from the engine itself, so now I'm thinking it's predetonating or misfiring, and that's causing the shakes...

Anyone have any thoughts? It's the weirdest thing I've heard of, and I can't figure it out for the life of me. Thanks
