Default 5th gen auto / tranny / shifting gears jerky

When I go from park, to drive, after a second it jerks one time..is it because its got some miles on it, or is something else causing it do that that I can fix? Thanks.

I have the same thing and I just got a full diagnostic test by the dealer when I had a few other things replaced. It's just the tranny shifting into gears fully, if you wait until it happens (you can feel it slightly) then start accelerating, it is better for your car/transmission. Also I just got my motor mount replaced and it helped jerking when shifting in other gears but did nothing for this problem.

mine does it too, you just have to let the car idle for a little bit when you crank it up, and when you shift into a gear (R, N, D4, etc.) give it a sec before you give it gas like AadosX said.

Okay cool .. As long as its normal and not much you can do about it, then I'll just make sure nothing else starts to losen from it jerking around.

Thanks
