F20B in a 5th gen
Ok, so i have a 95 accord Lx. If i were to get a JDM F20B with and auto tranny and the ECU, would it bolt up to my stock 5 speed and would it work basicly. I know I may need to change the harness or at the least add the Vtec wire. Any thoughts?
thanks

its not so much the going down in engine size, its going up in horsepower and torque. I do agree though that the H22 is the best bet, i just may be able to get the F20 for cheep. Plus I kinda liek the blue valve cover.

Pretty damn easy, 3 wires, vtec pressure switch vtec solenoid and knock sensor, run them back to the ecu and your done. F20B is actually a great motor in an accord if found cheap as hell but the most complained thing i hear is the lack of interchangable parts. (IE: nothing at checker kragen or auto zone or anything)

unless i'm mistaken u can use ur tranny with either engine the kick really is if u have a problem with the f20 u gotta get parts from ova seas where as having issues with a h22 u can drive to the nearest dealer or parts store
