Car suffers damages when worked hard??
Hello, i recently went to the track and ran 1/4 mile 8 times. However, ever since the track day, i realized that my car doesnt run as how it ran before i took it to the track. Idle seems a bit rougher, Various rattles and squeaks can be heard from the interior, Car hops when i attempt a launch, and everything doesnt feel as rigid and sturdy as how it used to before i went to the track. What exactly becomes damaged or wears down when a car is being driven very hard? How bad is it for the car when you work it to its max? I am really paranoid about the fact that my car has 9250 miles and its showing these kinds of long term wear and tear signs. Thanks.
dood, your warranty says they have to. . .you paid good money for the car and with that kind of mileage, you oughta be able to get your work done and a blowjob while you wait. . .just make sure you put stock parts back in if you have performance work and don't tell them you were abusing the car. . .

Unless something breaks, or there is extreme ware that causes short-term damage or safety issues, they wont help you.
I don't think this is what you want to hear, but your car really wasn't built for drag racing. A few times isn't going to wreck the car, but it will put significantly more strain on the car. Esp transmission and motor as was mentioned above. Just decide how you want to treat the car. I just try to go somewhat easy on the car, because mine is going to have to last a while.
Launching 5speeds accords hard will wear your throughout bearing and pressureplate. My accords plate is showing signs of wear when it is really hot out. It starts to speak, this means you have been doing lots of hard shifts the springs and fingers are showing signs of wear. The pilot(through out bearing) can be covered under warranty the pressure plate and clutch disc are not. As for the rough idle--you must have really whaled on the car. I run synthetic oil since day one and no amount of romping has phased my engine yet. Still churps from 1-2 as hard as ever.
just tell them exactly what you've said, just tell them that your ride doesn't run as smooth as before, and if they ask you what've you been doing with your ride, then just tell them that you haven't done anything but just daily drive.
that's what i would do....
