Alarm / Keyless Entry Question
Is there a way to change some of the settings on the factory Alarm? I thought I read a post on how to do, but I can't find it. I just want to turn off the horn beep when you hit the arm button twice. The alarm will self arm 10 seconds after you lock the door anyway. The horn annoys the hell out of me when my girlfriend hits the bottom twice. I just want to turn it off.
Thanks
Thanks

I know there is a wa but I cant find my book on it right now if you want you can cut the wire where it plughs into the "brain" of the alarm. You can call Honda (or whoever makes the car) and get a diagram for that alarm system. I helped someone else in here with their keyless system I am a deler so I can get some things easier. Let me know if you need my help. Good luck.

You should've gotten a little booklet about the alarm and one about the keyless entry when you got the car...the info is in there. You can definetly make it not beep when you unlock/lock it.

why not just push the arm button once? i think the only features u can change are the passive arm (auto arm after 30sec) and the selective unlocking (once for drivers, twice for all doors, or just once for all doors)

you can buy the add-on siren kit for the stock alarm. it uses a siren instead of the horn for alarm functions. might as well get a new alarm

The stock alarm is worthless. Do yourself a favor and buy a Viper alarm/remote start or something similiar...I got mine for about 450 bucks and it's really nice. Simple alarm with shock sensors and a nice little beep when you lock/unlock.
