Default 5th gen accord inspection problem...

I live in nc and the way they test emissions has changed. I took to get my 96 accord inspected over the weekend and i was told that they could not inspect it because of my cd player. They said it was blocking something they needed to use to test emissions and that they would have to take it out.. however they won't.... so i now have 13 days to get it to pass... and i'm not taking out the cd player...... any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

Why? It only takes about 10 minutes to do this... I have done it on my 5th Gen Accord about 5 times...

yes you could, but I don't see why it's a big deal if the plug is behind the ashtray and the CD player is above that. I mean whether it's aftermarket deck or not it shouldn't matter. Do they tell all the old ladies with accords to take out the stereo for them? I think that place is a bunch of retards and I would look for a shop with more competent help.

haha neither do i... i agree with AccordSleeper. But no it doesn't hurt anything to run car without stereo in it... just make sure you have the code if its the stock one.
