5th gen accord owners w/system
Cool, thanks guys. Now I have a slight problem. I have a set of 20ft Stinger Hyper series RCA's, but I have a 4 ch amp that's gonna be visible at times and I need to get another set of the same rca's, having mismatch ones will just throw off the whole install to me. Know where I can get some of these for cheap? The cheapest I've found them is $13.95 plus like $6 for shipping. Anybody got the hook up?
Stinger makes a 4 channel RCA cable... it combines 2 - 2 channel cables into a single cable, then splits at the ends... really nice cable... I have one in my car...
You should be able to go shorter than 20ft... they usually are measured in meters for some stupid reason (yes, I saw your post about meters in A/V)
Shorter cables, means less resistance for the audio signal... meaning a possible cleaner signal and less chance for noise to get in the signal. This is a big help for decks with 2 volt or less pre-amp outputs.
A good idea is to use a piece of string, run it where the cable is to be run... measure the string and add a foot or 2 for error. Keeps from buying cables too long or too short.

depends how you lay them, I did one of my friends 5th gen with 16ft cables, and I think we could have gotten away with 12ft, I use 12ft in my accord but I run them down the center(also the cables I used were $110 for 12ft and $150 for 16ft so I had a vested interested, especially since I needed two pair).
Easiest say, go buy a soft tape measure for $5 from a hardware store, lay the tape how you plan on running the wires and measure, or use string as was said.
The SNR of cables won't be that serios unless you get very high wality cables, most of the cables I see folks use makes me crings. No shielding, not twisted, nothing.. YIKES!
