Default TCS And Brake Lights Stuck On

My wife has a 2004 Accord EX V6. While she was driving the TCS and brake lights on the dash came on. We have tried pushing the TCS Off button on the dash but of couse that does nothing. I connected my OBDll code reader and everything passes and there are no fault codes detected. Could this be a bad or stuck sensor? Or maybe a short somewhere? The car drives fine and show no signs of a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Well thats fine but still doesn't answer my question. I just mentioned about using the code reader for the purpose of describing all the steps that I've taken.

I had to look up TCS (Traction Control System?) Isnt the OBDII for the CEL light? I dont know if this is your solution but on my MDX, my VSA light came on once and i eventually realized I had bumped the VSA button. Maybe u have a button to turn the TCS off and inadventently hit that?

oh, if ur brake light is on, one of your brake lamps is probably burnt. they're usually very easy to replace urself.

Thanks for the info on the brake lamps I'll check to see if any are burnt. As far as the switch for the TCS..yes there is a momentary switch on the dash. But as I stated in my first post I have tried that switch and it has no effect. When the car is first started the TCS light is not on. Then about 2 minutes after the TCS light turns on and stays on. Also during that 2 minutes I can push the TCS switch several times and the TCS light will turn on and off like normal.

Also the OBDll reader does more then just the CEL. It scans for any engine fault codes that are stored by the computer. It also checks several different monitoring systems. I only used it just to see if there was anything being reported but didn't expect it to find anything which it didn't.

Isn't the TCS is using the ABS unit for TCSing? So the ABS does a self check and if anything goes wrong it will display on dash.

I am not familiar with the 2004 though.

the TCS staying on meas theres a fault in the system as far as I know only the HDS system can read the fault code..but if the Brake light (same one for Ebrake) that can cause the TCS to come on as it thinks your driveing with the Ebrake on ..
