Default throttle body

i'm in the process of boring out my throttle body from a 55 mm to a 60 mm...i've seen aftermarket bodys with a straight bore and some that are taper bored...my stock one is tapered...which is better?

I would think the tapered would be to your advantage just because it would accelerate the air as it goes into the manifold. Increased flow = more power, but that's just speculation

maybe the tapered would accelerate the air, but the straight should allow more air to enter, instead of restricting it a little. just speculation.

go tapered... it causes the air to spiral causing increased air flow. similar to a turbine.
