i'm sorry i would never drive around with stock parts added on aftermarket parts.. i have aftermarket springs and shocks and i ride pretty hard at times. i guess with a low rate of drop your springs would last longer but my setup has settled so i know if i had stock shocks they would ahve blown by now since i'm running sportlines on my 5th gen

they last anywhere from a day to several years. You just can't tell going into it. You will greatly benefit from aftermarket shocks, but are not absolutly essential.

what do strut bars really do? i don't see no purpose of having one, i mean it just sits under your hood! and since i have an accord, theres no reason to have a tie bar right???

strut bars stiffen the chassis. You'll notice it on turns.

It really depends, like people have said, you're stock shocks may last 2 years, hey may last 2 days. It depends on how worn out the shocks are already, and the roads you drive on. The life of the stock shocks will be reduced drastically though.
