Default Main't req'd light turned on??

Ok, I only have around 14.5 K miles on my car. Why the hell did the light turn on? Is there a problem with my car or... can I just assume it's cuz of some modification that I did and thus reset it myself?

thanks,
-Brian

with the car off, press the odometer button & hold it down. turn the car on but NOT the motor - while still holding down button. keep holding it down until the light turns off/15 secs. it is a reminder to have the car serviced, oil change & stuff.

Ok, thanks for the sarcasm. It helped A LOT. Next time it'd be nice to get a reply as opposed to a retort. You may next time consider that I:

a) I already did a search and didnt' find quite the answer I was looking for

b) I was hoping that someone would have a quick answer for an easy question (since my car is outside right now)

thanks VTECSeoul.

Alot of people on this board like to ***** when they have to answer a question more than once. If you dont want to answer it, then dont, I dont understand why some have to be an ass about it and talk about the "search" button.

if asked once, coolio, if asked twice, ok maybe, if asked on million two hundred ninety four thousand three hundred and sixty two times, then it get's old. Especially if it's something that's in the manual....

ok.... maybe not that many times.
