Default Tire Sizes (rims question) need help asap

i have an 01 accord, ex sedan v6..

currently i have 17in rims on it with 205/40/r17 tires.. and are definitly way too small for my car.

i've been offered a pair of rims for really cheap off an 03 accord, but the guy said the back tires rubbed against the wheel well.. there 18's w/ Mastercraft tires (245/45/r18). Rims are 5x114 5-lug bolt pattern, 18 x 8.5 w/ 32mm offset.

dont really know what any of the dimensions mean.. but if someone could help me out and tell me if they will fit that would be great

thanks in advance!

I bet they would rub.

www.tirerack.com has some pretty good explanations & drawings for those dimensions. Look for something like a technical info tab at their website.

245 means they're 245mm wide.

Default tires size

225/40/18 are thinner- the 40 means the thinner part. the smaller the number the more a rubberband but you will go through them like crazy. i have replaced mine 3 times within a year and half.
