Default APEXi SAFC pod...........PIC

This is the pod I made for my APEXi SAFC to mount on my dash. I am having it and my dash pieces painted the same color black as my car. This pic is sort of dark, the other ones didnt turn out too well.

Why not get the V-AFC?

IMO, it's too easy for a thief to see it. I have mine where the ashtray used to be.

Because a VAFC is not really important if the computer has been reprogrammed to kick the VTEC in earlier anyway. A thief can see it where the ashtray is also so it doesnt really matter that much. I got this in a trade a while back and since my JDM ECU is being reprogrammed I decided to keep it.

You don't want VTEC to kick in earlier.

It's generally accepted to lower vtec in the h22 and in other vtecs using stock ecu programming and internals. The programs that raise it are for engines that rev to 9k and have beefed internals and cams.

Anyways the ashtray is much more out of sight than a huge pod sticking out of the dash which is rather easy to see. Besides I cover it up with a shirt if I park at the mall or something.

You know what though, I have a $2000.00 head unit in my dash...........they havent yet once tried to go for that so I dont really think I am worried about the SAFC getting jacked.

I am getting the Spoon chip program. I dont think it lowers it that much anyway. Its mainly for the speed limiter and the RPM limiter that I wanted fixed. The JDM ECU tops out at 113mph...............cant be having that now can we?

knock on wood man... i had to park my car in a shady neighborhood for 2 hrs one night. had my headunit, subs and amps jacked....

not really feelin the pod... its huge and its not integrated with the dash at all.... but i guess it look better than the duck feet that come with the safc
