1/4 on 7th gen accord
saw motor trend and saw that the V6 6speed 1/4 mile time was 14.54..... pretty damn fast, but the thing that confuses me was that i picked up Road&Track and saw their review on the new Infiniti G45 coupe and it was actually slower i think it was like a 14.8 or something. but it says on the magazine that it has 280hp thats 40 more than the accord. guess its b/c of the weight of the car.
you mean G35 coupe. Weight is a factor. Nissan inflates numbers slightly. Nissan has heftier tires and wheels. (235 width vs 215)
Dont forget track conditions and driver skill.
I noticed that the pilot with almost identical hp ratings does better than the pathfinder. I might just be a difference between SOHC and DOHC.

The 7th gen coupe 6 speed is going to put up some impressive numbers. The G35 coupe is a all around luxury sport coupe. Its the 2+2 to the 350Z. I dont know the exact numbers yet but weight and driver skills is a major factor when testing track times.
14.5, not bad for a family car.
Still though, despite the 240hp...it's still a Honda Accord, but imagine the look on some bmw owner's faces when a 7g AV6 BLOWS by them with a full family, haha.

its not good to compare 0-60 time from different mags, or even the same mag. testing conditions will vary from track to track. the driver also makes a big difference. the best way to compare is to wait for compairision article, when the cars are test by the same drivers at the same time.
also, alot of the time, the test cars arent broken in yet. 1/4 mile can drop as much as .3s after break in.

magazine stats are almost as inaccurate as them G-tech controller. There are way too many factors that make the time vary. On auto trend, i read about a 6th gen ex coupe 5 speed doin 0-60 in 8.2 sec. On road and track, i read about the same identical car doin 0-60 in 9.0... now, that is almost a whole second difference....
