Default HOW to check engine error code

well, I searched on yahoo and found this site:
http://www.carhookup.com/htenginecodes.asp
Keep in mind this is for OBD II + OBD III ECU's which means it should pertain to 92-00 Civics.
The above sentences are stated in the site and I was wondering if it also applies with 6th gen accord. Thanks in advance.

take dat biitch to AutoZone. dey'll plug dat damn OBD-II scanner/reader thing in a plug (check behind the center console ashtray) and it'll give dem da code. dey'll cross-ref it in da book and tell you wut it is.

minez been on fa 'bout damn 50k miles on my '97 Accord. their reading told me it was the Engine Gas Recirculation system. a new EGR valve is a bit pricy--well over $100. and i'm just not quite ready to fork dat li'l bit uh cash out when the car seems to be performing jus' fine.

pay attention to ya whip's performance. i beleive da manual says the performance can be hampered if certain codes trigga da check engine light.
