Default synthetic vs regular... any difference?

my old man says to stick with regular if thats what ive been using. is there a noticeable difference with synthetic on the wear of the engine over time?


gotta change the oil soon so im wondering

If you drive hard it's a good idea to use synthetic.

don't be a cheapass and buy synthetic or even blend. your car will run smoother and longer. I recommend Redline Oil or Mobil 1. I used to use Castrol Syntec which is also good.

what about those higher mileage oil, do they work or just a was of money. I need an oil change and my car has 130,000+ mile on it.

The Maxlife is good stuff. It is Dino oil that according to Castrol syntec standards for synthetic is synthetic. With 130K, I would reccomend that or a syn blend.

i use blend in my car and my bro's legend. no big changes in mine, but the temp in the legend dropped a bit where it's noticeable. i just use mobil clean drive synthetic blend.

if you have high miles and have never used synthetic you are supposed to stick w/ regualr. we watched a video in class abotu it but i feel asleep after i heard that part
