I have noticed during the past two winters that when I start my car in the mornings to go to work that the e-brake light is on eventhough my e-brake isnt on. I noticed that it only does this when its really cold outside and after like ten minutes(im assuming when the car is warm) it just turns off by itself. It has never done this before last winter. Any explanations?

 

Happened to me all the time. Make sure your brake fluid is sufficient in the resevoiur ( however its spelled ).

After that if it ever came back on I wouldnt let it bother me. It'll turn off eventually.

 

probably switch that goes w/ teh hand brake is acting up. i wouldnt worry about it.
