Default 2002 accord+ performance upgrade

I have a 2002 accord....4 cylinder

Everything right now is stock, I wanted to make some performance upgrades...any advice on where to start?

I was thinking of a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system and an air intake
-is Magnaflow a good company to go with?
-theres a lot of fairly cheap air intake's on ebay-should I stay away from these or will they do the job?

Magnaflow muffler is great. Its very low in pitch and has a deep tone to it.
Definitely doesnt sound like a rice'd out civic.
Dont buy those cheap eBay intakes. The piping will come off from the T.B alot. I think the rubber hoses they have are no good.
Also, the material the piping is made out of is so thin that it'll sound like crap. I mean big time crap.

Stick with AEM, INJEN. Better yet, just get one of those K&N drop in filters. There really isnt a difference with intakes. Spending 100+ on an intake will gain you the same performance as a 40 dollar K&N OEM filter.

ohh btw...intake's arent going to give you significant increase in power. Maybe 1hp if lucky.

I would do the following since accords arent made for racing but, you can beef up the suspension and make it handle better.

1. Suspension, - Coilovers are the shit.
2. Upper Strut bar, dont bother with the rear lower tie bar,..your going to run into problems with your rear camber
3. muffler - My friend with a 2001 TL gave me one of his magnaflow mufflers. If it wasnt for that i wouldnt pay for one
4. Rims / Wider wheels... I would get the rims before lowerign the car. That way once you lower it with coilovers you can raise /lower the car to a nice height.
