my speedometer not working d-4 is flashing

 

Take a look at your vehicle speed senser (vss) its on the back of your transmission on the top side its a 3 wire connector. See if it is plugged in. If it is the sensers are common for failing. It can also be one of the 3 wires is cut or shorted to ground it can also be a bad transmission control computer but thy don't fail that often.
