Default H4 Lighting on Accord

Went to JDM Housing on my 94 Accord

Low beam is now H4.

Has anyone wired the harness to have the high beam filament on instead of the low beam filiament . I Know with both you run the risk buring the bulb out or even more extensive damage. Would the high beam filament not spread the beam as evenly as the low filiament?

Thanks for the feedback.

i got it. What you need to do is have a relay, and some know how. You need a female spade connector big enough to fit the prong first of all. Stick in in the empty hole in the adapter, wire it to 87 of the relay. Wala! The 85 can be tapped to the headlights so it comes on when you turn your headlights on.

Can I take out the female spade connector in the harness that is connected to the low and connect it in the harness for the high beam prong? Just wanted to know how the lighting would be with just the high beam on. Cuz when you do flash the high beam with just H4's in ( know this cuz my civic) the beam tends to be higher

:eh: hence the term "high beam". high beam usually blind oncoming traffic. if you ever get the chance to look at the H4 bulb out of the headlamp, you'll notice the little spatula shield on one of the filament. that gives you the necessary cut-off. the other filament (high beam) doesn't have it and will get you light everywhere.

Yeah..just got my JDM Accord headlamps from them and the harness came with the kit.

I want brighter lights though...i guess my only option is going HID.

i dont know if they fixed this or not, but, when i got my HID's for my jdm style headlamps, with the adapters, the wires are switched. Polarities are wrong.

Look at the adapter, and see if the red and black wires match up, to the wires from the car.
