okies...well I'll get better OEM exhaust system, new oil pan gasket, and timing belt.

besides the exhaust system, what would i expect to pay for pan gasket & timing belt change? I figure $300-400?

Update

Bad news today from my local Honda shop.

I scheduled an appointment for oil change, OEM muffler parts: B Pack? & C Pack? need replacing & all hydraulic fluids changed (brakes, clutch & PS).

Yadda Yadda Yadda...Mechanic said I needed new clutch because petal is near the floor to disengage. It was like this for the 3 years I owned the car, and the other times I had oil change & other work there. I wonder why they didn't say anything before. He also said it was emitting the smell of a warn out clutch. I've never smelled it before, not even as I drove it to the shop. I did notice it slightly when I drive it back home. He also said that the clutch fluid was nearly BLACK.

He did some probe test in my radiator because the coolant had some brown color in it. Test said it had exhaust hydrocarbon somethings, and they could see caked oil around the gasket area. He told me the head gasket was failing or leaking and needs replacement. Why didn't they check/notice this when I got my timing belt replaced? I mean they had to replace the valve cover gasket and stuff...and they didn't notice the caked oil before?

They also said I needed to replace the oil pan gasket, but I knew that. And one of my CV boots is cracking/cracked, they told me that last time when I got oil change & Timing belt done. And my tires are pretty much gone & needs alighment, I knew that too.

----------------

All in all it would be about $1700* for just the Clutch & Head gasket (*if head is not warped/damaged). I still need to fix the exhaust system, oil pan gasket, CV boot(s)/axel(s), new tires & alignment.

So I am guessing atleast $2500 total...I am asking you, is it worth fixing?

If you did all the work yourself, maybe. But to pay $2,500, a swap would be ideal. Or possibly even a stock motor from the junkyard if you're strapped for cash.
