Where is the choice for factory wheel locks on stock wheels? And what are you getting at?

I didnt know that u could request factory wheel locks on stock wheels.

And what i'm getting at is how many people actually have wheel locks on their Aftermarket wheels. I recently had an attempt to steal my wheels. So i'm trying to figure out the best approach to protecting them. I know nothing is fool proof and if they REALLY want it they will get it.

On my wheels i had 2 lugs that were Hex based and 2 lugs that were actual locks. The theives removed the 2 lugs that were hex based with their hex wrench. But gave up when they found out that the other locks required a key. I was thinking to buy two sets of locks so they will require 2 keys to take off all fouir wheels. On each wheel it'll have 2 locks that fit one key and 2 locks that fit another. If u get what i mean.

The whole poll is really a curiosity question.

Just buy Honda OEM wheel locks, that's all. Next time you get your tires rotated they can slap em on, or else you can do it yourself. All it is is one wheel lock (lug nut that requires A "key"...not really a key but a metal piece that attaches onto the wrench and fits the pattern of the lock) on each wheel, they're cheap.

Why bother with 2 sets? How are they gonna get the first set off if they dont have the key?

BTW, I kept my lug nut key under my cupholder in my old 6th gen (the cupholder comes out to reveal a space where you can hide stuff). In my RSX it's simply in my glove box.

i do know how locks and keys work.

and ur prolly right about the two sets.....if they dont have the key they cant get them off period. BUT..it will deter them even further if they need TWO keys to get my wheels off. Rather than just one.

I didnt know honda made oem wheel locks and keys. Do they sell tuner style ones? My wheels only take tuner style and they have a conical seat.

2 sets still seem like a waste of money to me.

I was just describing the lock and key thing so that anyone else who read this thread woud know what I meant...whaddya mean tuner style? Never seen those.

thats the first place that theives look

a wheel lock isnt that hard to get off, but it does slow down a theif. putting an extra set on slows them even more, detering the theif from even attempting to steal your wheels. if you want extra piece of mind, get a tilt sensor for you alarm.

gotcha...just tryin to make it clear that i know the difference

and the tuner style is where the actual fiting is "inner" instead of "outer" like stock wheel lugs. I need tuner style because the actuall lug seat is very small, so there's no way a "socket" can get around it. Like i said, u already have seen them. I just actually found out what they were called a few days ago.
