What is the function of a Spool Valve Assembly? It is part #9 in this diagram

I have an oil leak at this location.

95 Accord, 2.2, VTEC, Auto, ABS, 4dr.

thats a vtec solenoid.

u need to change out #12, and if that doesn't stop the leak, change out 10.

12 = vtec solenoid gasket

10 = (forgot what its called exactly) gasket

#10 is leaking, but I am replacing #12 also. Do you know how it works?

Also, do you have the torque specifications for bolt #27?

just hand torque it as any other 10mm bolt on the car. just hold ur wrench from close to teh bolt.

the vtec solenoid pressurizes the oil which make the vtec pistons kick in.
