Default 1990 Honda Accord Lighting problem

Alright, first I would like to apologize if this has already been covered, but I've been searching for 6 hours straight and I even searched these forums for 30 minutes.

Now onto topic, I drive a 1990 Honda Accord EX and I'm going LED crazy. I found the DOME and License plate LEDs with no problem at all and then I got to the door Courtesy lights which is stated as a DE3423. All the DE3423 are around 37-38mm X 10mm and the light bulb that I popped out of my door is a 28mm X 8mm 12v 3.4w bulb.

So I guess my question is do I have to use a DE3423, because I cannot find one the size I need to save my life, or could I use a 3022 30mm x 10mm? I don't want to short anything out, but I'm sure the bulb will go before that happens.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Nevermind, I found some math equations that answered my question and they're in my car shining bright.
