86-88 accord

Will the engine from a 89 accord fit and work in a 86-88?Both are carbureted.
Was told it won't,I think it will........not an expert though........!

86-89 accords are the 3rd generation so they should all work. Now if you had a 90 -93 engine then you will need custom mounts but it wouldn't be worth it a B16 would be a nice choice some people have done this and love it.
