Default How much did you pay?

Just curious to know what everyone has paid to have their brakes done before. I just turned my car in this morning to have my rear brakes replaced and am paying $215 bucks for new pads, rotors, labor, etc.

That's not too bad. I've just done it myself on my 6th gen. The installation for rear rotors and pads are a piece-a-cake on the 6th gen. Assuming good parts @ about $40-50/rotor and $30-45/set of pads, $215 isn't too harsh. Is this the dealer or some crummy big-o's? If it's a Big-O or Les-Schwab or some goofy corner tire place I doubt they're putting the best parts on. Probably raybestos or some brand-X rotor and pads. But if they put the good stuff on (Brembo, Akebono, Hawk, etc.) or even just OEM then I'd say you made out ok.

I agreed w/ losiglow. I replaced the rear rotor and pads on 92 EX s/w w/ Bendix. The pads are $27 & rotors are $41/each. You paid the avg cost for the job. I would have the same concerns as losiglow, some crummy repair shops will put the cheapest parts and charge you premium for it. That's the reason why I do it myself. I have my own choice of parts to install in my cars. It's a very simple process.

I did my own front brakes. Brembo Blank Rotors, Hawk Ceramic pads, and all the associated tools and anti-squeel.
