is this "normal"?
i'm sorry man. i totally fucked up. i dont know wtf i was thinking.
the "left side should be tight like it is" and u just need tighten ur tensioner.
and the hopefully that should make the sound go away, if not then it could be water pump even though its new, it might have a flaw.
edit: i just saw that "92timingadjustment". in ur case. ur right is loose not ur left. so it wont make a difference.
its been about year or two since i did the last timing belt on a 4 cyl honda.
give me a day and i'll get back to you on how to adjust it. we use to get a pry bar and push up on the timing belt and then adjust the tentioner. but i'll get back to you on that.

well I fixed the belt tension, but its not idleing right
start up fine, idles PERFECT at first, for the first 2 minutes or so.
then the idle starts going up and down from 1100 to 1700 or so. no codes nothing. any ideas? im sure the timing was dead on! and the only vac lines disconnected were the pcv and breather

alright. i talked to one of my friends about it and what u can do is move the tensioner w/ ur hand to the lowest position (where it keeps the belt loose adn tighten the adjustment bolt. thne put ur belt on and losen the adjustment bolt and the tentioner will tighten itself.
and u need to connect the pcv. thats probably whats causing it to go up and down.

car fixed itself!!!!!! LOL
I guess the coolant wasnt bled all the way, only thing I can think of. I let it idle a good 10mins with the rad cap off and the heater running. topped it off every few minutes until no bubbles
nspec, I had the pcv hooked up what I meant is those were the only things I unhooked vaccum wise.
and on the tensioner, it wasnt sitting on the little notch in the block (pivot point I guess its called) thats what was causing the loose belt
thanks for the help!!
