Default 93 Accord SE - Fans NOT Working

The car is overheating. I replaced the T-Stat which seemed bad (didn't open in a pot of boiling water). The radiator and one fan were replaced in the past 2 years. Now, both fans are not working. I was told there is a fan switch/sensor in the T-Stat housing, also one in the water outlet goosneck, and possibly one in the radiator. Can anyone tell me which one switches on the fan so I don't end up replacing the wrong part. Thanks.

heres what u do:

turn the key to the ON position when teh motor is cool, but dont start it, turn ur AC and blower motor on. In that situation, both fans should turn on no matter what.
if they don't then its either ur fan relay or ur fan itself.

If they do come on. then its more than likely ur temperature sensor on the thermostat housing.

Also I think u can swap out the temperature sensors from input to output to check to see if it makes a difference, but not sure about that.

and forgot about the easiest thing, unplug the fan and give it direct power adn see if they come on.

It might not be the fans at all...
- I've had a similiar experience and it turns out it was the head that was cracked. If you find yourself always topping of your radiator because theres no coolant in there then thats it. If not i would rig up the fans where it will start when you start the car.

I turned the key to the ON position with A/C on. The left fan (drivers side)
came on. Then I put a probe thermometer in the top of the radiator and started the car. The temp rose to 190 in about 15 - 20 minutes. I turned the A/C back on to engage on e fan and the temp dropped back to 180. I didn't see any water in the oil - thought that might be an indication of a bad head gasket. So far it seems like one fan, fan switch or sensor is bad. When the problem started the radiator did have to be topped off frequently; however, I don't see a leak anywhere.

the problem ur having has nothing to do w/ a bad head gasket or coolant leak.

its all electical.

So far, I know that the driver side fan's working just like it should be.

Unplug the passenger side fan and give it direct 12v and a negative to see if it comes on. If not then replace your fan. if it does, then go to a junk yard and get a coolant temperature sensor that goes on the thermostat housing and replace that

the condensor switch comes off the top radiator hose by the distributor. the radiator fan switch is by the tstat housing. the fan timer i think not sure, is on the dr side fender, next to the washer solvent holder.
