Default Power Locks/Keyless Entry

I've got a problem with the power locks on my '98 Accord. If you use the switch on the driver's door, it will lock and unlock the rear doors, but neither the driver's door or front passenger door. There is also a high-pitched whirring sound that is made when you use the switch. If you depress the lock pin in the driver's door, it locks the driver's door as well as the rear doors (but not the front passenger) and no noise is heard. The keyless entry doesn't seem to be working and I am wondering if that is related to the driver's door lock/power locks mechanism not working. This problem started several months ago with the driver's door not locking when you used the switch (other three worked fine) and keyless entry not working. But then it would work fine, it was very sporadic. Any ideas?

More info...when I checked it today, it's still not working correctly only now the whirring noise (which was coming from the driver's door) isn't heard, but there is a click coming from the front passenger door when you use the power lock switch.
