Replaced Battery at Wal-Mart for $50 04 Accord
I was searching all over this board for what I thought was a transmission problem. It seems to rev and drop rpms at different times. I thought maybe I was having transmission issues. I came across this quote "disconnecting the battery in some cars will clear the memory of the computer and may temporarily turn the light off. Beware that this may also cause other problems such as the car not rembering it's idle and will have to relearn it." In the drive from being stuck to buying the new battery, the dash lights, speedometer, and check engine lights went crazy. Could this be my problem? Explain re-learn it please? Ideas?

Not sure why you would need a new battery in an 04, but did you replace the battery?
If you did, are the battery cables clean and tight??
The jumpy gauges sound like a loose connection, probably a ground.
The ECU will relearn it's base operating calculations, but not like that!!
Get that sorted out first, then someone can probably help with further tranny issues, if any.
What motor in your car?

I didn't think I needed a new battery so soon either. The side of this is that Honda had the car for 3 days trying to figure out what is wrong with my power windows (still not fixed). So basically they had the car for 3 days fixing an electrical problem, then 3 days later the battery dies?
The rpm problem has not reappeared since the initial post. Thanks for your replies. Now on to posting about my brake issue.
