Default D4 and maintenance light are flashing

I have a 2001 accord lx and the D4 light flashed a few times once but ever since then the maintenance light has been flashing 10 or 11 times everytime I start the car, I'm guessing its time to change the transmission fluid since I've already done everything else related to maintenance I could thinnk off, does anyone have any recomendations as of what fluid works better for accords?

The maintainance light usually flashes periodically, regardless whether or not maintainance has been done, just needs to be reset. As for the flashing D4, yea I would change the tranny fluid and see if that solves the problem. Remember to use only Honda ATF and just "drain/fill", never "flush".

Mine did the same thing; D4 light flashing and CEL on. Car would not shift from 2nd on up. Found out it was a bad Counter Shft Speed Sensor. Diagnosed and fixed for $85. V6 accord Jerz is right ONLY use Honda ATF and drain and fill-not flush!
