Default Clutch question

it was a cold morning here in massachusetts... when starting my car i pushed in on the clutch, like i do everymorning (because i have to....) however today it was different... the whole top, if you will, of the travel was dead... the clutch engauges in the last little bit of the stroke. it also kinda sticks at the point where the dead space ends...i hope that makes sence.. but i really dont think it does.....
so this is what im wondering.. being as the clutch is self adjesting.. correct ('92 accord EX 2-door)? could this be a sign of the end of my clutches life?! it doesent slip or anything and it still grabs... oh god im scared.. sooo much money!!!!

THANK YOU!

How old is your clutch? You are right, it may be all worn out. It really depends on what you need... provided you do the labor yourself (challenging) you could get away spending only $150 on a clutch disc. Add a pressure plate and it will cost you around $350... if the flywheel is gone too, it could be as much as $700 for the 'fix'. It's best to take it apart and see what's really worn out. CHECK THE FLUID and all the lines first though in case it is just that. If you do have to replace the clutch, GREAT time for an upgrade. I am very happy with my ACT, ALSO consider a lightened flywheel while you're at it... for $350 it is well worth the price, big performance increase! I have an 8 lb. one from Fidanza...

Check your clutch fluid level, the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, exact same symptoms. you may have a small leak somewhere in your system.

i was hoping to checkinto the fluid thing, and bleeding the line, crossing my fingers.. etc etc or getting a new line from the master cylinder to the slave, maybe i should just change the fluid...yes
can you just force all the old fluid out of the bleeding nut? or is there a better way? also.. where did you get your nightened fly wheel? because thats the exact same thing i was thinking.. ACT clutch and lightened fly wheel

hmmmm so after looking things over, lots of bad words and qhite a few breaks ( i didnt eat lunch so i made a sandwich) but yeah.. looking things over, the slave cylinder appeared to be dry, as in no leaks and all the lines looked good.. so i took a look inside where the master cylinder connects to the pedal, and at the firewall there was a thin black liquid, which reminded me of break fluid, and since my car is black i figure the mystery fluid is break fluid, so do you think that this could mean my clutch master cylinder is no longer any good??
