Default steering wheel shaking....

It start shaking when I am braking at high speed 40mph up, and it really start shaking when I am braking and changing lane at the same time at high speed and that scare the crap out of me.

Does it sound like a Bent rim? have new rotor, pads, axle adn tire... rims are 6yrs old and in bad shape.

shaking when braking at high speeds points to warped rotors.

is it only at braking? then u got ripped off by the person who changed ur rotors.

did u get new rotors or had them shaved???

and no it doesnt sound like a bent rim.

if ur steering wheel shakes at high speed all the time (even when not braking)
then u need ur front tires balanced.

if it shakes only when u brake, then u need the rotors replaced.

new rotors and I guess I should have them shaved?

I got the rotors last year and never had this problem until now.

1. if its it shakes really really bad then u should get new rotors. no matter when u brake slowly or hardly

2. if it shakes very little like when u touch the brake, (they shouldn't shake when u brake hard on highway)

1: get new rotors
2: go to firestone and have them shave it for you. about 50 bucks for both rotors. they have a machine where they wont have to take out the rotors.

if u get them shaved. avoid unnecessary braking in wet conditions. i mean take it very easy on ur brakes in those conditions.

it will help u run the rotors for a longer time.

what happens is that in hard braking, rotors heat up a lot and expand.
when water touches them, it immediately cools the surface, causing to warp.
